It’s OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD time!! We are collecting all items (toys, stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons, school supplies, etc.) to fill our wrapped shoeboxes! Pick up a brochure on the little patio table for more info. Deadline for donations: Sunday, November 12.
Wrapped candy of all kinds is needed for our Hero Sunday. Please bring all donations to the little patio table.
Hero Sunday // Sunday, October 29th, after the second service // Playground // Bible heroes have come to life and they will be walking through our halls teaching us about their stories. Children are welcome to come dressed as their favorite super hero. Get ready for candy, games, and a whole lot of saving the world!
We have some incredible opportunities to help those impacted by Irma:
- Those in the Keys – If you have leftover hurricane supplies that you would like to donate to them, please bring them by the church today (Friday). We are in need of: bottled water, canned goods, batteries and any extra left over hurricane supplies you may have. There is a plane going to the Keys in the morning. Please continue to pray for those impacted by Irma.
- Those in Cuba – We have partnered with two ministries that are making a difference in Cuba. We will have more details on how you can help soon.
- In our community – Next Sunday, we will have an opportunity to give towards our Mercy Ministry Offering. These funds go towards helping those that are going through a time of need.
Partner with the campus ministries at UM and invite an international student (or two) for a Thanksgiving meal. For more info and to sign up, text “thanksgiving” to 786.879.0664 by October 15th.

The Heritage Singers want you! Each Wednesday evening at 7pm, the choir joins voices in song in preparation for Sunday’s 9:30 worship service. If you are a long-time member of the choir or are interested in joining, please contact Dennis at email@example.com and come for rehearsal as we prepare to lead in worship each Sunday.

When you are grieving a loved one’s death, facing tomorrow may be hard. That’s the reason for GriefShare, a support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Our GriefShare group helps participants prepare for tomorrow and even discover hope for the future. GriefShare group meets Thursdays at 7pm in the Café.
