We are all broken people in equal need of God’s endless grace. Through outreach, we let our city know they have a home at Granada.

Made to Worship

Our sole purpose in life is to worship God. It’s that simple. This can be done in many different ways! We provide you with Sunday services where you are focused on Jesus and singing praises to Him alongside others.

Walk With Me

Groups are an important part of your faith journey. This is where people open up and really “do life” together. You’ll make friends, see Jesus work in their lives, and become a part of their family.

Live Out Grace

We love our city and it needs our help. We go out locally and internationally to serve wherever we are needed. Sacrificing yourself for others is the ultimate act of love.

Trinity

We believe there is one God who lives in the community of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God has revealed His identity in the creation, in the Scriptures, and fully and completely by coming to us in human flesh.

Sin

God created everyone to share community with Him, but from the beginning the first man and woman chose to go their own way. Since that time, human beings have sought their way home to communion with God. No one can find their way back.As human beings, our separation from God has led to all sorts of brokenness and sin. Sin is not limited to one people or race. Every person, the entire human family, is touched by sin’s influence and power and lives with the need for God, for healing and forgiveness.

Gift of Redemption

Because God is loving and merciful, God has freely chosen to redeem sinful human beings from every nation and people. This work of redemption has been made possible through the death of Jesus on the cross and the resurrection. Jesus died for us to bring us to God. Receiving this redemption is also not a human achievement. It is a gift of God made possible through the grace of God, God’s love freely given. Human beings only come to receive this grace by faith, trusting in what Jesus has done.

Faith

By nature, human beings do not trust God. The faith to receive God’s grace is itself the result of the Spirit’s work in their lives. As people place their trust in what Jesus has done for them, they are “born again,” that is, they receive new life and are adopted by God into His family.

Edification

Since the grace of God is freely given, it can never be lost. Those redeemed by Christ can never lose their place in God’s family. They will be with him forever.

Through this love of God, redeemed sinners are forever united to Christ, they receive his righteousness, and they become a new creation. The grace of God enables them to live a new life of love and service.

Eternal Life

When those redeemed by Jesus die, they will be in the presence of God forever. Those not redeemed will be separated from God and His Kingdom. In fulfillment of the plan of God, the living Christ will one day return to earth, bring to fullness the plan of God for all creation, and fully establish His kingdom of love here on earth.

Baptism

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are signs of the Kingdom of God. Baptism shows us what happens when the Spirit of God applies the grace of Jesus in the lives of people. The Lord’s Supper shows us our need to remember that our lives have come through the death of Jesus. It is a participation in Jesus Himself.

Evangelism

The message of the grace of God in Jesus is to be shared all over the world. Every person stands in need of forgiveness and grace from God. This task is the mission of those who belong to Christ.

Granada Church remains part of a larger community of churches committed to the Reformed faith. The fundamentals of this movement are a deep focus on Christ, salvation by grace alone, faithfulness to Scripture, and the glory of God.

Granada Church, also known as Granada Presbyterian Church, is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Membership

If you love Granada Church and feel called to remain with us, you can become an official member.
What is a member?

Our denomination provides a system for its churches to keep track of church attendance and growth. Part of this system is an official membership class where anyone can profess a desire to commit to a church permanently. Think of it like getting married to a church instead of just dating churches!

What opportunities do members have that others do not?

Granada offers help to many people in the community; however, resources are limited. We have reserves that are specifically maintained to help protect and aid our official members. For example, if one of our members has a legitimate financial emergency, our church Deacons would consider using those reserves to help them. That is something we cannot do for everyone in the city.

Infant baptisms are performed for church members only because we believe in remaining present in the lives of the children we baptize. 

Additionally, members are allowed to vote for new elders and deacons as well as approve major financial decisions. It is very similar to the U.S. government!

How does someone benefit from membership?

You are able to call a church home which deepens your walk of faith. You can take a bigger role in the decision-making of Granada, access help that others cannot, and even get a Granada Day School discount depending on your church membership status and involvement.
