One final thought…
As we head off to StudentLife Camp this summer, we are praying for an incredible and truly transformational week. This year’s camp theme is Cultivate, and students will spend the week looking at how God’s Word takes root in our hearts, how abiding in Christ produces lasting growth, and how He calls us to be part of His harvest by sharing the good news of Jesus.
Our prayer is that this week will be more than just a fun camp experience. We are asking the Lord to use this time as a meaningful milestone in each student’s spiritual journey—one that deepens their faith, strengthens their love for Jesus, and continues to bear fruit long after they come home.
Parents, you play such an important role in this! Please be praying daily for your student. Pray that their heart would be good soil for God’s Word, that they would remain connected to Christ, and that the Lord would use both encouragement and pruning to help them grow more like Him. Pray also for our leaders, that we would faithfully point students to Jesus in every conversation, worship gathering, small group, and moment throughout the week.
The theme verse for camp is John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.” As you pray, ask the Lord to help your student truly abide in Christ and experience the kind of growth only He can bring.
Finally, when they return home, be ready to listen. Make space to hear their stories, ask thoughtful questions, and celebrate what God is doing in their lives. Your encouragement will help nurture the seeds planted at camp into lasting growth in their walk with Jesus.
